How to Choose Interior Paint Colors
Paint color is simultaneously the most accessible and most anxiety-inducing finish decision homeowners face. A gallon of paint costs $50, but the wrong color on four walls of a room can make it feel cold, small, dingy, or discordant with the furnishings and finishes it's supposed to complement.
How many paint colors should I use in my home?
For a cohesive whole-home palette, we typically specify 3-5 complementary paint colors — a primary wall color, a trim color, a ceiling color, and 1-2 accent colors for feature walls or specific rooms. This creates visual flow while allowing individual rooms to have their own character.
