The AI Material Swapper is a free, browser-based interior design tool that uses generative AI to replace materials, finishes, and surfaces in a photograph of your real room — while preserving the architecture, lighting, and proportions of the original space. Built in-house by Emerald & Oak Design, Charlotte's premier luxury interior design studio, it lets homeowners, builders, and architects test material decisions before they're committed in the field.

Most online room visualizers either swap entire rooms (losing the architecture) or require professional 3D rendering (slow and expensive). Our tool does neither. It works at the surface level — the way a designer thinks — letting you ask focused questions like "what would white oak floors do here?" or "how would this kitchen feel with calacatta instead of soapstone?"

The result is a working visualization in under a minute, paired with a designer-grade explanation of why the new combination succeeds or fails. It's the same conversation we have with our luxury residential clients every day — now available before the first consultation.
