Kings Manor

A Matthews interior design project presented through its kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. The photographs show how related tones and contrasting shapes connect the rooms.

## Kitchen

A marble island, cone pendants, wood cabinetry and woven stools.

The island gives the room a broad horizontal centre. The repeated cone pendants and woven stools establish a rhythm along its length, while wood cabinetry balances the pale marble.

## Living room

A fireplace and open shelving framed by pale seating and a brass chandelier.

Shelves frame the fireplace, making books and objects part of the room’s composition. Curved and upholstered seating softens the straight lines of the cabinetry; the open chandelier leaves the ceiling feeling light.

## Dining room

An upholstered dining group, beaded chandelier and glass-front display cabinetry.

The chandelier gives the dining table a distinct centre. Upholstered chairs and a patterned rug introduce softer surfaces, while the glass-front cabinets create a balanced backdrop without closing off the room visually.

## Bathroom

A freestanding bath beneath a chandelier, with a large window and stone floor.

The tub is placed on the window’s central axis, with the chandelier above. Pale surfaces keep the composition restrained, allowing the window view and the fixture’s outline to carry the room.
