SOUTHPARK STUDIO · CHARLOTTE, NC
A small, founder-led studio in SouthPark. Here is where we work, how far we travel, and what to expect from a first in-home meeting.
Local, in the way that actually matters.
"Near me" is a practical search. You want a designer who knows your block, your builder, your light. Someone who can be in your home on a Wednesday morning without rearranging a calendar — and who will still be reachable two years after the punch list closes.
Our studio is in SouthPark. The principal, Miriam Peters, lives in Charlotte and personally leads every commission we accept. We do not franchise the work, ship it offshore, or hand it down to a junior. The same person who walks your site is the one who specifies your stone, signs off your millwork, and stands in your foyer the day the first piece is set.
Charlotte neighborhoods we work in
A short list of the places we know intimately — by builder, by lot, by light.
How we work, in plain language
New construction
Engaged before the foundation is poured. We sit alongside your architect and builder, so the interiors are drawn into the home — not retrofitted onto it.
Whole-home design
A single, coherent home — every room considered against the next. Selections, millwork, lighting, and furnishings, all under one roof.
Turnkey furnishing
For a finished house that still feels empty. We design, source from trade-only ateliers, and install — you walk in and live.
"The homes we're proudest of are the ones a guest can't quite describe. Calm. Honest. A little quieter than they expected."
MIRIAM PETERS · FOUNDER
Are you actually local to Charlotte?
Yes. Our studio is in SouthPark and our principal lives and works in Charlotte. Every project we accept in the metro is led on the ground — not subcontracted, not remote.
Which neighborhoods do you serve?
Myers Park, Eastover, Foxcroft, SouthPark, Dilworth, Cotswold, Ballantyne, Providence, Quail Hollow, and the lake communities of Cornelius, Davidson, and Mooresville. If you can drive to it from uptown in under an hour, we cover it.
What's a realistic budget to work with you?
Every project is scoped individually — single rooms, consultations and whole homes are all welcome, and you receive a clear written proposal before any commitment. New construction and whole-home commissions land between $500,000 and several million all-in.
How quickly can you start?
We accept a small number of new commissions each season. A first conversation is usually available within a week; an active project typically begins four to eight weeks after the design agreement is signed.
If you're a short drive away, let's talk.
A first conversation is unhurried, off the clock, and entirely without obligation. Tell us about the home you're imagining.
