Bespoke is likely wrong if…

Four questions that settle it
1. What is the deadline, and is it real?
Drawn work runs on workroom calendars you do not control. If a date cannot move, scope the bespoke portion down to the pieces that can be released earliest and buy the rest.
2. What condition are you actually solving?
Write it in one sentence. If the sentence describes a dimension, a use, or an architectural condition, originate the piece. If it describes a look, you can probably buy it.
3. How long are you staying?
Bespoke rewards permanence. Built-in millwork, panelling, and pieces drawn to a room's geometry pay back over years of daily use — and travel poorly to the next house.
4. Do you want to make decisions or approve them?
Bespoke asks for judgement at the brief and at approvals. If your preference is to be shown two good options and choose, say so early — the process can be run that way, but only deliberately.
A middle path most people miss
The decision is not all-or-nothing. The strongest rooms we finish are mixed: a small number of drawn pieces holding the architecture, excellent bought pieces around them, and one or two sourced antiques carrying the age. That approach keeps the calendar workable and puts the drawing budget where it is visible every day.
