Designing Timeless Interiors
Timelessness is perhaps the most frequently invoked — and most poorly understood — concept in interior design. It does not mean designing without a sense of period; every interior reflects its moment. It does not mean avoiding all contemporary expression; homes should feel alive and current. What timelessness truly means is designing with materials, proportions, and restraint sufficient to ensure that the interior ages gracefully — that it looks as beautiful in fifteen years as it does today, and that it carries the kind of lasting quality that rewards rather than punishes the passage of time.
