The difference between a furnished room and a curated one is evident immediately — in the sense that every piece belongs, that nothing is present by default, and that the collection of objects in the room tells a coherent story about taste, quality, and the way the inhabitants live. Curation is the designer's most personal contribution to a home — the exercise of judgment that determines which objects, from the thousands available, will create the specific atmosphere the client's life requires.
