About Mooresville
Mooresville is a town in southern Iredell County on the northern and western shores of Lake Norman. It is known as "Race City USA" because many NASCAR teams and motorsports businesses are based there, and it is also home to the corporate headquarters of Lowe's. Its historic downtown along Main Street dates to the railroad era of the late 1800s. Lakefront neighborhoods on Brawley School Road's peninsula and elsewhere hold many of the area's larger waterfront homes. Interstate 77 connects Mooresville to Charlotte, about 25 miles south.
Estate & Waterfront Design
Mooresville's luxury homes often feature expansive floor plans, soaring ceilings, and direct lake access — creating design opportunities that require both bold vision and meticulous attention to detail. We approach each project with a comprehensive design strategy that addresses every room in the home.

Designing a Mooresville Lake Home
Mooresville's larger waterfront homes are concentrated on peninsulas such as Brawley School Road, where long, narrow lots run down to the water and the lake becomes the view from nearly every main room. Planning starts with that orientation: kitchens, great rooms and primary suites face the lake, while garages, laundry and service spaces sit toward the road. Reflected light off open water can be intense in the afternoon, so window treatments, fade-resistant fabrics and the placement of televisions and screens are decided together. Many homes have walk-out lower levels that open to the yard and dock, and those floors work best when they are designed for wet feet and guests — durable flooring, a bar or kitchenette, bunk or guest rooms and plenty of storage. Downtown Mooresville's older houses near Main Street are a different proposition, closer to historic-home renovation, with smaller rooms and original details worth keeping. For a household that splits time between the lake and the town, the two can share one palette while answering very different daily needs.
- Lake-facing main rooms on peninsula lots
- Glare control for afternoon light
- Walk-out lower levels for guests
